Sandwich panels

Sandwich panels for food processing facilities.

Walls · ceilings · cladding · interfaces

Our approach

The panel is never chosen in isolation.

ATECNA ITALIA designs the sandwich panel construction system, agreeing performance, finishes, thicknesses and details with the client in relation to the production process.

Doors, viewing windows, protection, profiles and service penetrations are coordinated from the outset to create a cleanable, durable facility ready for use.

01

Configuration

Intended use, temperatures, cleaning and expected loads guide the system specification.

02

Construction details

Junctions, connections, profiles, corners and penetrations are designed before installation.

03

Integration

Doors, protection and services follow the same design approach.

04

Construction

Supplies, fabrication and site work are coordinated through to handover.

Applications

Sandwich panels for production, storage and controlled environments.

The system is configured according to the activity, environmental conditions and expected loads.

01

Food production facilities

Walls and ceilings for processing areas subject to frequent cleaning.

02

Cold rooms

Insulated partitions for storage, ripening and cold chain logistics.

03

Cleanrooms

Systems coordinated with doors and details designed for hygiene and cleanability.

04

Extensions and refurbishment

Solutions tailored to the existing plant to reduce disruption and site time.

Walls and ceilings

Continuity, hygiene and durability where they matter.

The perceived quality of a facility comes above all from its junctions: joints, doors, windows, protection and service penetrations must work as a single system.

Design questions

How to specify a sandwich panel system.

Information to share with the technical office before choosing materials, finishes and details.

What information is needed to design a cold room?

Intended use, operating temperatures, room dimensions, people and goods flows and cleaning methods are the starting point. Walls, ceiling and cold-room doors and technical joinery must be specified together, also considering service penetrations.

How is the wall finish chosen for a food processing area?

The choice depends on the conditions in the area, cleaning products and methods, and expected loads. ATECNA ITALIA agrees the appropriate project finish with the client, choosing from prepainted or plastic-coated steel, stainless steel, aluminium and GLASS Coat glass-reinforced polyester.

How are panels, doors and impact protection coordinated?

Door openings, joints, connections and service penetrations are designed before installation. Along handling routes, impact protection systems are integrated with the panels and access points according to how the area is used.

Does ATECNA ITALIA also handle supply and installation?

Yes. ATECNA ITALIA coordinates system design, supplies, fabrication and site work through to handover. To start the discussion, share plans, intended uses and requirements with our technical office.
